Why football opens the door

Football Academy is the first point of connection for many young people in Mathare. Regular sessions create structure, belonging, and trust — the conditions needed before deeper mentoring and education support can take root.

Through the pitch, coaches identify leadership potential, school needs, and young people who can grow into mentors for the next group behind them.
